Standing Ovation Process (SOP)

Remember the time you were at an event, sitting on the edge of your seat, hanging on every word the speaker said? You looked around and everyone around you was doing the same. 

                            We know who those speakers are.

The Standing Ovation Process is our proprietary system of scouting and rating speakers, which helps ensure that your speaker is excellent and reflects well upon you and your organization. We greatly reduce the chance of hiring a speaker who misses the mark.

You want people who are excellent every time they are on the platform. Some speakers are inconsistent – great some days and “mediocre” on others. You don’t want to be asked “what happened here?”

We allocate a great deal of our resources to travel to sites to experience speakers live, preview them via video and collect feedback from those who are responsible for events. We know who is excellent and who has a few too many “off” days.

We thoughtfully qualify speakers and rate them according to a variety of factors in our database. We rate people on:

• Overall quality
• Level of personalization
• Level of cooperation
• Quality of preview video

Our database has rating and scouting reports on thousands of speakers but those we actually recommend and book for our clients are but a fraction of that. There is a special box in our system for “not recommended,” which is NSB code for “protect our client from this person.” When we do searches our system only delivers speakers who are at the highest levels in overall quality. Some keyboard gymnastics are required to view speakers with lower ratings. In our system, “above average” is a lower rating. We think your audience deserves someone who is even better than “above average.”

When determining which speakers to suggest for your event, we start with the best and then reduce the list. We consider your event objectives, theme, and the expertise of the speakers. Then we add in our knowledge of speakers, and the spice of intuition, to produce the suggestions you receive. It adds up to an artful blend of science and intuition.

We call this system the Standing Ovation Process. The SOP helps you select the perfect speakers, who achieve the objectives of your meeting and business.
