Talk to Don for just a moment and it becomes quite apparent that he wholeheartedly enjoys what he does. His clients agree,
"Don makes sure that the speaker you choose fills your meeting objective and theme. He truly cares, not only about me, the client, but also the audience we both serve."
In between working with clients to plan successful events, Don volunteers his time and expertise to the meetings industry. As an active Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) member, he serves on national and local committees. It is through PCMA that Don earned his Certified Association Sales Executive status. In 2009 Don was honored with the Pillar Award by the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA. This award is given to recognize an active member who is an unyielding supporter of the chapter through dedicated participation, enthusiastic committee involvement and leadership.
Don uses his breadth of work experience to enhance his understanding of the complex and diverse nature of corporations. Before joining the National Speakers Bureau in 1999, he worked in operations management, wholesale distribution and an eight year stint in the Marine Corps, where his work focused on American Embassy security. It was during an assignment in Finland that he met his future wife. Don has traveled and lived in Europe, Asia and Central America; experiences which he uses to understand the global challenges which face many of the corporations with whom he works.
Don and his wife settled in Chicago’s northwestern suburbs where they and their family enjoy contributing to a close community of family, friends and church.
